A holiday rental in Ireland could be just what you’re looking for.

Visitors to the Republic of Ireland will be impressed by the fantastic scenery, from towering cliffs to quaint villages and thatch roofed cottages.

Dublin is a very cosmopolitan city and there you’ll be able to explore museums and galleries such as the National History Museum and Gallery.  Other ‘must see’ sites include Trinity College, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin Castle, the Chester Beatty Library and the Guinness Brewery.  You’ll also find amazing pubs and excellent shopping.

Galway lies on Ireland’s west coast and there you’ll find pubs, restaurants, clubs, shops galore as well as theatres and a range of festivals.  If you enjoy historical sites you should not miss the 16th century Lynch’s Castle and the 14th century Collegiate Church of St. Nicholas.  About 30 miles offshore (a ferry ride) you can also visit the Aran Islands and its ancient forts and churches.

Those of you who appreciate wonderful scenery should consider visiting Connemara.  It has a rugged coastline, mountains, lakes, rivers, and a national park.  This beautiful setting will give you the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of outdoor activities including golf, walking, cycling, riding and bird watching.  Water sports available include fresh water and deep sea fishing, canoeing, surfing, sailing, swimming, diving and snorkeling.

County Cork and County Kerry lie at the southwestern tip of Ireland and have over 600 miles of coastline and a range of mountains inland.  Outdoor activities are again plentiful in this area and include golf, riding, cycling, walking and water sports.  The famous Blarney Stone can be found at Blarney Castle in County Cork.  Legend says that kissing this stone will give you the gift of eloquence!  While in County Kerry you can also visit the 14th century Ross Castle in Killarney and the beautiful gardens at Muckross House.

Renting a home in Ireland will open up an amazing range of possibilities, whether you want to quietly enjoy the scenery or take advantage of the night life or outdoor sports.   You’re sure to have an unforgettable holiday!
